OK, I admit it. I like to worry. I like to find comfort in worrying. Why am I so committed to worrying? Because I need to release the pain I carry regarding something that might happen. Yet, Jesus has a better way to deal with my pain. I can ask for help. So, each day, with each situation I face, I can ask for help. Real help to understand my pain. Not help that leads to more worries. Not false hope that promises nothing bad will happen. Real help to cross the line and surrender my worries to Him. It's the only way. No substitute. As we seek Him, invite Him, ask for His help, He provides us with what He knows we need to help our pain. Matthew 6:30-34
"Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
"Therefore do not worry, saying,`What shall we eat?' or`What shall we drink?' or`What shall we wear?'
"For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
